The causes for the failure of maintenance of your pain reduction could be:
- The faulty yet comfortable postures tempting us to not maintain the good postures as advised.
- Not identifying the aggravating daily movements which outweigh the corrective movements.
- Trying to finish off all the work at one go, rather than taking frequent small 1 minute breaks.
- Trying to complete the builtup-backlog of work, as soon as the pain reduces, without complete recovery.
- The lack of discipline/application of the doc’s advice.
- Not understanding/performing the correct form.
- Rushing the exercise & not reaching the end range.
- Failure to make the patient understand in their learning style, why that exercise has been given to them (Eg. Why Spinal exercise for elbow/knee pain).
- The frequency of exercise or reps/sets are not sufficient.
