How to sustain the recovery from pain?

The causes for the failure of maintenance of your pain reduction could be:

  1. The faulty yet comfortable postures tempting us to not maintain the good postures as advised.
  2. Not identifying the aggravating daily movements which outweigh the corrective movements.
  3. Trying to finish off all the work at one go, rather than taking frequent small 1 minute breaks.
  4. Trying to complete the builtup-backlog of work, as soon as the pain reduces, without complete recovery.
  5. The lack of discipline/application of the doc’s advice.
  6. Not understanding/performing the correct form.
  7. Rushing the exercise & not reaching the end range.
  8. Failure to make the patient understand in their learning style, why that exercise has been given to them (Eg. Why Spinal exercise for elbow/knee pain).
  9. The frequency of exercise or reps/sets are not sufficient.
